Students from various schools across Bangkok were exposed to the new venture creation cycle, via experiential hands-on activities and project-based learning. On Day 1, we organised a Pre-Hack Day, to gradually ease both students and parents into the Hackathon. During the Pre-Hack, students gathered to learn about what to expect for the Hackathon, and also got to know each other better, through empathy- and leadership-building activities such as Fiero and a trivia game. Their parents had a session with Rusydi Khairul (Co-Founder and CEO of Reactor), where they had a quick experience with the Design Thinking process. Throughout the next 2 days of the hackathon, students developed an entrepreneurial mindset by experiencing what it means to be a startup co-founder. Students also created an abridged investor pitch deck with an accompanying prototype, which they presented to a panel of industry leaders.
