GEIP Global Startup Hackathon March 2024

A 3-days cross-border hackathon that provided aspiring young entrepreneurs the opportunity to kickstart their startup ideas, while working collaboratively with like-minded individuals from other parts of the world. This hackathon brought together students from different Institutes of Higher Learning, including Singapore, China, Thailand, and Vietnam and Indonesia to exchange ideas, access market knowledge, and co-create business solutions with a global impact.Participants worked together to develop creative business solutions for real-world challenges. Participants explored problem statements pertaining to UN SDGs 4, 8, and 13 (Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Climate Action), and ideated plausible solutions that will shape the future for themselves and subsequent generations. Participants also experienced pitching to a panel of venture capitalists and industry experts, for critique and feedback.
